Workshop: Pictures, Pencils, & Portraits

I am so excited to announce my June 2nd workshop at Slip Gallery, home of the Belltown Art Walk, in Seattle. The class will cover the basics of portrait drawing, teaching you how to take cherished photographs and turn them into timeless works of art!
~NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED~
Seriously though! Don't be shy, I teach portraiture to k-12 students as a job, so don't worry if you can't draw faces! Everyone is wanted and welcome here <3
For this class we will cover the very basics...

- Sketching Layout
- Tricks For Drawing the Dreaded Second Eye
- Basic Facial Anatomy
- Noses And How To Conquer Their Mysteries
- Translating Photographs to Paper
- Capturing Likeness
- Among Many Other Tips and Tricks For Portraiture

- Date and Time: June 2nd, 2025 at 6:00-8:30PM
- Supplies:
- Pencils, erasers, paper and all necessary sketching supplies will be provided by me, your delightful teacher Alexis
- PLEASE BRING WITH YOU A PHOTOGRAPH TO WORK FROM, either digital or printed (I find students often work best with printed but it isn't necessary) :)
- Tickets: Please bring a copy, either digital or print, of your ticket to the event!
- Both Slip Gallery and I believe in equitable access to the arts here in Seattle, if cost is prohibitive to attending this workshop please reach out via my contact form for reduced pricing!
